BabyCenter is the world's number one digital parenting resource, reaching millions of new and expectant parents monthly through our global websites, mobile apps, online communities, email, and social platforms.
With input from our Medical Advisory Board, our editorial team creates award-winning content to support parents on every step of their journey. Our goal is to provide the most helpful and trustworthy pregnancy and parenting information in the world. To ensure that medical content is accurate and up to date, doctors and other healthcare professionals on our advisory board review and approve all information related to pregnancy health and children's health and development.
We believe that becoming a parent is one of the most challenging and extraordinary things you'll ever do – and that the support of professionals and other parents is crucial. More simply: We believe in the journey. We believe in you.

BabyCenter's award-winning My Pregnancy & Baby Today is the number one pregnancy and parenting app in the U.S. It offers must-have information, tips, videos, and tools for every day, covering milestones from trying to conceive to getting a positive pregnancy test to your baby's first birthday. Another free mobile app, Baby Names by BabyCenter, uses data from millions of parents to help you find the perfect name for your baby. Find out more about BabyCenter's mobile apps.
BabyCenter's nine websites attract more than 34 million users every month from around the world. Our international sites include:
- BabyCenter en Español
- BabyCenter Arabia
- BabyCenter Australia
- BabyCenter Brazil
- BabyCenter Canada
- BabyCenter Germany
- BabyCenter India
- BabyCentre United Kingdom
BabyCenter's international sites have their own content and teams of local editors. They rely on guidelines from their own medical advisory boards. Different cultures, healthcare systems, and public policies all contribute to the differences in guidelines and recommendations followed in other countries.
Whatever parenting stage you're in, BabyCenter's goal is to give you the best information available, as clearly as possible, along with practical advice to help you manage and cope with every challenge you face on your parenting journey. We rely on trusted sources – respected health organizations, professional groups of doctors and other healthcare providers, experts in various fields, and published studies in peer-reviewed journals.
We believe you should always know the source of the information you're getting. On our articles, you'll see the author's byline and the medical reviewer's name at the top and sources listed at the bottom. For articles that don't contain information related to health or development, we use professional fact-checkers and editors to make sure information is accurate.
Our editors and advisors are constantly updating and reviewing articles to ensure they're comprehensive, up to date, and helpful. We care deeply about feedback from our readers. Learn more about our editorial process.
Medical Advisory Board
Any content containing medical information or guidance on health or development is reviewed by a doctor or healthcare professional on BabyCenter's Medical Advisory Board. (For example, an article on the stages of labor would be reviewed by an ob-gyn, and a video on breastfeeding by a lactation consultant.) These experts help make sure BabyCenter provides the most complete and accurate pregnancy and parenting information possible.
Our advisory board members are highly respected professionals at the top of their fields who are selected based on their range of knowledge and experience. Their specialties include fertility, obstetrics, midwifery, pediatrics, child development, and emotional health. See our medical advisory board.
BabyCenter relies on revenue from paid advertisements, but maintains full editorial independence. We adhere to a strict policy of separation between editorial and advertising content.
You'll see advertising on our pages in standard ad units or modules that are clearly labeled "advertisement" or "from our sponsors." BabyCenter also earns revenue by creating content in collaboration with advertising clients. In these cases, you'll always see a disclosure stating that the content was paid for by a particular advertiser.
We never allow advertisers to influence editorial content. If you don't see any language that says "from our sponsors" or "paid for by," then you know what you're reading or viewing contains only editorial information. Learn more about our advertising policies.
About the BabyCenter Community
BabyCenter's online Community is lively, supportive, and honest. With more than 9 million members worldwide and thousands of birth clubs and other groups, the Community is a welcoming place to connect with other parents and celebrate the journey of pregnancy and parenting.
